Patient Participation Group

We want to ensure that patients, their families and carers are represented and heard from at all stages of their treatment.

Generally made up of a group of volunteer patients and member/s from the practice, patient participation groups ‘meet’ on a regular basis to discuss the services on offer, and how improvements can be made for the benefit of patients and the practice.

The beauty of PPGs is that there is no set way in which they work – the aims and work of each group entirely depends on local needs – but they all have the aim of making sure that their practice puts the patient, and improving health, at the heart of everything it does. This means we have the freedom to develop a PPG that works for our patients and community, in the best way possible.

We would like to invite you to join our Patient Participation Group

As a Practice we wish to offer the best possible service to our patients and as such we would like to seek your views of how the practice works for you.

A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients, carers and practice staff who meet to discuss practice issues and the patient experience to help improve the service.

Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) work in partnership with their practices to:

  • help patients to take more responsibility for their health.
  • contribute to the continuous improvement of services and quality of care
  • foster improved communication between the practice and its patients
  • provide practical support for the practice and help to implement change
